The louvers of the Seoul YWCA Building feature a depth of shading similar to that of the strongly expressed vertical louvers arranged in horizontal bands on the Korea YWCA Association Building, yet they appear more like layered, lightweight lattice grilles. Whereas the Association building projects concrete surfaces horizontally, this building leaves those planes recessed. The two buildings stand independently, sharing no elements, yet visually intertwining to form a single screen.
