Led by Leader Kim Jaewoo, the High-Tech BU specializes in designing high-tech industrial facilities that form the foundation of future industries, related to semiconductors, secondary batteries, energy and environment. The unit is an integrated design group encompassing planning and consulting through collaboration with engineering fields and internal technology development. An expert in semiconductor production facilities, Kim has pioneered the high-tech sector and expanded into the secondary battery and bio sectors, establishing Junglim Architecture’s strong position in high-tech facility design.
Kim previously worked at Sunjin Engineering and Samwoo Architects & Engineers, and served as CEO of Axis Architecture Co., Ltd. Based on his past experience designing advanced facilities like semiconductor production plants, he now leads the High-Tech BU, aiming for future-oriented sustainable designs. Major projects include semiconductor facilities such as SK Hynix Icheon M15 and M16 projects, SK Hynix Cheongju SUPEX Center, secondary battery facilities like SK Nexilis North America battery copper foil plant (basic design), SK On renovation, as well as Hyundai Elevator Chungju Smart Campus and the global life sciences company Sartorius Korea’s Songdo campus.
