Zion Methodist Church is a multipurpose building that includes a main worship space accommodating 3,000 people simultaneously, as well as various worship, administrative, missionary, and sports facilities, and an underground parking garage. It aims to be a new type of church that simultaneously accommodates educational programs as a school facility and carries out missionary work and community education.
The planned site for Zion Church, located a short distance in from Bangbae-ro, is clearly a densely residential area surrounded by houses, characterized by a slope that descends lower than the access road. The main circulation was determined by utilizing the sloped site, and harmony among diverse outdoor spaces was achieved by giving maximum consideration to appropriate scale and adequate setback distances.
