The apartment housing in Hagal-dong, Yong-in, is a deck-based complex designed to comply with the landform, considering the 37m level difference within the site. Housing buildings were placed to open the view towards the southeast and the southwest for amenity residential environment, considering the view-opening axis and the wind path. In order to actively utilize the surrounding natural environment, penthouses and terrace houses were designed at the southern area within the complex which is the lowest and closest to the open view. Along the circulation that connects the main and sub- entrances, subsidiary facilities were designed as the base which includes the central plaza to facilitate the community activities for residents. In order to emphasize the identity of the complex as different from the surroundings, some rooftop decorations of the northern and southern buildings were designed as the points to escape from the conventional rooftop mass towards attracting public eyes with the radical oblique mass.
