The Urban Design BU specializes in urban planning for new town development, master planning, improvement and district unit planning for existing cities, as well as policy and research projects related to architecture and urbanism. Based on urban and master planning, the unit carries out architectural projects that provide rational solutions from an urban perspective, exploring the vision of a healthy society and the public value of architecture realized through the integrated power of urban architecture.

The Urban Design BU has won projects such as the LH Village Improvement-type Integrated Urban-Architectural Plan and the competition design for the Yongma Tunnel-area Urban Public Housing Complex. Current projects include the Maegok Public Housing District Master Plan, Anyang; Tangjeong 2 New Town Master Plan, Asan; the Seonbawi Public Housing District Urban-Architectural Integrated Plan, Ulsan; the Urban Master Plan for Public Housing Districts in Uiwang, Gunpo, and Ansan; and the Gangjeo 2 District New Town Development, Jecheon. In addition, through various research and preliminary services, the unit identifies contemporary needs and maintains a flexible approach in responding to social changes.
