Daegu Bank Headquarters Renovation

Daegu Bank Headquarters Renovation

The original Daegu Bank (DGB) Headquarters building, designed by Junglim Architecture and completed in 1985, has long stood as a landmark in the local community. Over time, the client returning for renovation wished to retain the image of the original building while emphasizing the DGB Group’s symbolism, public value, and sustainability as it moves forward. Accordingly, the renovation plan started with improving the building’s aging functions but carefully respected and preserved the existing facade to maintain the building’s sense of place and memories.

The lower floors were redesigned to enhance public accessibility by creating an atrium that opens the space to the community, aligning with the DGB Group’s management philosophy. The tower section’s exterior and core systems were upgraded to improve economic efficiency, focus on better indoor environments for employee welfare, and reduce building maintenance costs.
