Daedong Door is an automotive parts manufacturer specializing in door modules, window regulators, and locking systems. The Songdo Plant, funded by Japan’s HI-LEX Group, serves as a new growth engine that integrates the Pyeongtaek headquarters and the Suwon R&D center.
Despite the limited site area, the project focused on achieving efficient logistics and production lines, together with a rational spatial plan for offices and laboratories that ensures strong sectional connectivity throughout the complex. The façade design was also developed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape of the Songdo High-Tech Industrial Cluster, creating a bold and lucid corporate image. Through multiple rounds of consultation with the client, the project was able to instill a clear sense of expectation and confidence that “industrial facilities can embody a company’s future vision and enhance its corporate value.”
