The 13BL site is L-shaped surrounding a middle school, and subject to height restriction due to the military base near by, which means it is a highly restricted site. The whole concept of this complex was an education-based complex themed like the American Ivy League connected to the nearby schools. We introduced the landscape elements of the famous US university campuses, placing a large-scale library at the center of the complex with the Widener Library of Harvard taken as the motif that differentiates itself with the nearby complexes. By utilizing the terraced landform, we also arranged a corridor space underground to be used as a pathway, next to which was placed common facilities for the residents, a senior citizen center, and other community facilities to overcome the landform and secure accessibility. For the first time in Jeongju, some units on the lower floors were designed as terraced units, which are not so easily sold but have a certain advantage.
