The Amorepacific Daejeon Distribution Center has undergone repeated expansions and renovations over 30 years since its first completion in 1980. After the 2009 restructuring of the Daejeon distribution center site, a new building was designed in 2014 on additional land secured on the east side. Since another architectural firm was constructing a production building on the same site simultaneously, architectural harmony between the facilities was important. The design team carefully explored the relationship between the site and the logistics program, reinterpreting and refining various architectural devices and solutions, as well as restoring the circulation paths, which had become fragmented due to dispersed masses during the site restructuring, into a unified flow.
