AmorePacific’s Gimcheon Distribution Center serves as the southern logistics hub for AmorePacific Beauty, with all goods produced at mid-region plants routed through this center before being delivered to customers in the southern region. While logistics flows are typically prioritized in the design of such facilities, this distribution center was also designed with greater emphasis on improving staff working conditions, beyond simply achieving operational efficiency.
A garden is placed between the office and work areas, separating circulation paths while also ensuring ample daylight and natural ventilation for the office zone. The cafeteria is sided with a south-facing curtain wall so that people can dine while looking out onto the garden, and a bridge over the garden connects the lobby with rooftop sports facilities. The office and administration areas are finished with color-treated laminated stainless steel to create a calm, robust image that contrasts with the sandwich panels of the logistics zone, and the front wall of the first floor of the administration wing has been removed and replaced with transparent glazing to present an open, community-oriented image.
