The HL Mando NEXT M project located in Pangyo’s Second Techno Valley aims to establish a global startup and innovation ecosystem that realizes sharing and collaboration through the integration of autonomous driving technology with other Fourth Industrial Revolution fields, a new business area for Mando Corporation.
The main users of the building are HL Klemove, an autonomous driving specialist company spun off from Mando, related firms, and numerous startups visiting the space. Given the diverse users, architectural solutions were needed to ensure security by separating users while enabling harmonious collaboration and communication as needed. Therefore, three communication spaces were first set up according to user groups, followed by the composition of individual corporate spaces.
Based on the urban context, the lower floors secure flexibility and connectivity to Pangyo’s Third Techno Valley, providing an open space that interacts with the local community to establish cultural infrastructure. The mid-level floors introduce an open platform based on the concept of shared office to enhance networking across specialties and run a variety of services and support programs. The upper floors reflect the identity of Mando as a global enterprise, with plans of various workspaces suited to different work styles for enhanced research efficiency and of a smart office system for flexible operations.
