The Design Sector, overseen by CEO Yongkyo Jeong, is the legacy arm of Junglim Architecture, encompassing the areas in which the firm has demonstrated its strengths over the years. The sector consists of 14 business units (BUs), each specialized in a particular design field — Urban Regeneration BU, Total Habitat BU, Urban Design BU, Urban Impact BU, Hospitality BU, Smart R&D BU, Value-Add BU, Complex Cluster BU, Mix Solution BU, Residential Complex BU, Renovation & Office Facilities BU, Healthcare BU, Logi-Tech BU, and Lifestyle Creation BU — as well as three strategic units (SUs): the Design & Technology Integrated Support Center SU, Development Planning SU, and Operation Support Center SU.
Having joined Junglim Architecture in 1993, Jeong has served as development planning division leader, design division 2 leader, planning department leader, chief operating officer (COO), and project management office Leader, before currently leading the Design Sector as CEO. His major projects include the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry Hall, Korean presidential office (Cheongwadae) facilities, JW Marriott Hotel in Tripoli, Libya, STX Headquarters in Dalian, China, and the Yonsei University Songdo Campus Master Plan.
