The Synapsoft R&D Center, located in the Magok district of Gangseo-gu, is the first headquarters of IT company Synapsoft Corp. The client requested a rational and simple massing, economical design, and flexible, practical spatial planning. Through close collaboration, the architect’s design intent and the client’s requirements were actively integrated.
The site, facing a 12-meter side road, is bounded on three sides by adjacent properties except for the road side. Given this characteristic, the building emphasizes a strong frontal presence and offers openness on the lower floors with a pilotis structure and a lobby that opens across two levels. The office spaces are designed according to a “universal plan” adaptable to user behaviors and needs. The community space serves as a place for employees’ rest and interaction, designed to provide diversity and amenities within.
