Led by Leader Sungwoo An, the New-Tech SU consists of the research teams, each addressing Green Tech, BIM, and Digital Transformation, and the Quality and Safety (QCS) team responsible for the quality of documentation. The Green Tech (GT) team researches and supports environmentally friendly design; the BIM team builds related processes, provides related technology support, and offers step-by-step education to maximize design productivity. The Digital Transformation (DT) team leads design with AI-aided computational design, leveraging data and algorithms. The Quality and Safety (QCS) team manages drawing quality control and standardization across company-wide projects.

Ahn graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in architecture and served as a naval officer before joining Junglim Architecture in 1996. He earned a master’s degree researching the Dubai real estate development market characteristics and entry strategies. His key projects include the JW Marriott Hotel in Tripoli, Libya; Saemaul Training Centers in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos; SK Wuxi Hospital; Lotte Center Hanoi; US 8th Army Vehicle Maintenance Facility; Pyeongchang Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremony venues; Samjin Pharmaceutical Research Institute; and Sewoon District 4 renewal project. He specializes in overseas projects, hotel and hospital design, BIM, and architectural technology research. Currently leading the New Tech SU, he has recently built architectural technology that combines environmentally friendly design and digital transformation, contributing to enhancing architects’ productivity and design capabilities through computational design and AI experience.
