The Central Research Institute, located within the Seoul Milk Ansan Factory Complex, is the first independent research center established by the Seoul Milk Cooperative with a 77-year history. The site was originally used as a tennis court, and the previously shared research facilities, which were combined with other building functions, were separated to establish this newly constructed dedicated research institute within the factory complex. The institute is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities capable of conducting both fundamental and applied research, including chemical analysis laboratories and biological laboratories.
The massing, clearly visible from the Seoul Milk Intersection, was designed in a white color reminiscent of milk. Upon entry, visitors feel as if they are entering inside milk, and once inside the lobby, they face a promotional hall and a reception room shaped like milk drops. The south-facing office spaces overlook the entire factory complex. Centered around a bright atrium, offices and laboratories are arranged on either side, with rest areas on each floor to support creative research activities.
