Having graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City in 1999, Nguyen Xuan Vu worked as a design director and a design manager at foreign architectural firms and is currently serving as General Director of Junglim Vietnam. Through his experience in architectural design across diverse sectors — commercial, industrial, hospitality, education, and healthcare — at Junglim, he has been exploring the importance of architecture that serves people and contributes to the natural environment. He reflects on the organic communication between persons, and between people and the natural environment, focusing on how such interactions occur. Aiming at architectural solutions within these relationships, with his ideas for architectural design grounded in this personal philosophy, he has been building experiences that align with the direction and identity of Junglim’s core values.
“When you ride a motorbike in Vietnam, you can feel the breath of urban development unfolding every day. The tropical natural environment, rivers and bridges, and the traces of time within French architecture harmonize with beautiful scenery. Observing this, I contemplate how to sustain the beauty created by history and place, in harmony with development from Vietnam’s industrialization process.”
