Led by Leader Mokjo Chung, the Smart Office BU specializes in designing large-scale smart offices and bio-related facilities. The unit is composed of a Smart Office team that proposes efficient space utilization solutions through advanced technology, and an Advanced Bio team participating in the nation’s 12 strategic projects. Chung has over 25 years of design experience, having served as high-tech office design group leader. Currently, he is engaged in the master plan and non-secure design services for SK Hynix Yongin Cluster and the construction of Samsung Biologics Plant 6 in Songdo.
Chung joined Junglim Architecture in 2000 and has progressed through Design Division 1, Planning Department, PM Department Team Leader, Supervision Division, and Design Group 1 Leader before leading the Smart Office BU. His major projects include the design and exhibition supervision of the National Museum of Korea, Chungmu Art Hall, Incheon Port International Passenger Terminal, Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2), Mando Global R&D Center, HL Mando NEXT M R&D Center, and various projects such as the Admiral Yi Sun-sin National Memorial Park in Namhae-gun. Throughout project execution, he emphasizes communication with clients above all and aims to build architectural works not simply as objects of beauty but as shared cultural spaces accessible to all.
