The JW Marriott Hotel Tripoli is Junglim’s overseas project designed to invigorate Libya, which is in the midst of transformation after the fall of its authoritarian regime. Located in Tripoli’s International Business District, the hotel connects with the nearby park and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The slender, elongated box-shaped massing adopts a double-skin façade to control solar gain and ensure privacy. This outer skin, finished with patterns reminiscent of Arabic motifs, serves as an experiential element evocative of traditional Arab spaces and establishes a new landmark within Tripoli.
