The Hyundai Motor Company High-Tech Center Ulsan is a futuristic building comprising automotive maintenance workstations and customer vehicle experience facilities, designed to provide improved automotive-related services by integrating future technologies. Robots such as AGVs and AMRs assist humans by transporting vehicles and other items, while future mobility forms like AAM and PBV expand human mobility. The new High-Tech Center reimagines the cyclical structure for the maintenance of mobility including vehicles both inside and out. Junglim Architecture and BIG are collaborating to build this vision.
The workstations, created through an architectural system that treats each vehicle as a module, fully embraces daylight and nature. The continuously formed bar-shaped mass stacks in various configurations according to the site and program, acting as a catalyst for efficient workstation organization. This structure also links individual terraces used by customers to the central atrium, enhancing brand experiences in special spaces such as lounges as well as facilitating vehicle access and exit experiences. Whether viewed from afar or up close, the High-Tech Center vividly demonstrates its daily technological advances in operation.
