Led by Leader Dongsik Choi, the Smart R&D BU specializes in designing R&D facilities for private and public institutions as well as educational and research facilities at universities, both domestically and internationally. Starting with diverse educational environment projects, the unit has established partnerships in the R&D sector with companies such as Naver, Kakao, HL Mando, and LG Group affiliates to implement user-centered education and research environments. Having played various roles in R&D facility design, Choi is currently leading the Hongik University Innovation Growth Campus project.
Choi joined Junglim Architecture in 2005 and has worked as a designer and team leader on various projects. As the current leader of the Smart R&D BU, he focuses on planning and designing user-centered educational, research, and office spaces based on trust built with diverse clients. Key projects include LG Sciencepark Magok, LG Chem Daejeon Technology Research Center, UNIST Battery R&D Center, Naver Data Center Gak Sejong, and Yonsei University Severance Faculty Research Center (Research Center for Future Medicine).
