In 2013, TV broadcasting was on the cusp of a nationwide “digital broadcasting” transmission era. While the existing analog reception system allowed viewers to watch only programs scheduled by broadcasters for 24 hours a day, the digital broadcasting era would enable all citizens to select and watch programs of their choice, as with IPTV. Program scheduling, which had been sufficient for 24 hours a day, was about to transcend its time limits.
This Ilsan digital broadcasting content support center named Bitmaru was planned to respond to the imminent explosive demand for digital broadcasting content. As a rental-type broadcasting facility operating all its facilities on a lease basis, it is equipped with studios, editing rooms, sound rooms, transmission rooms, and offices capable of digital broadcast production for constant use by small independent production companies, small and medium-sized broadcasters, and program providers (PPs), along with an education center for content training and tour facilities for digital broadcasting promotion.
