Osan Wondong Apartment Development

The site is located near the Osan Interchange on the Gyeongbu Expressway, providing access to a wide-area transportation network connecting to Seoul, Suwon, and Cheonan, and is situated in Won-dong, often referred to as the “Myeong-dong of Osan.” The development site measures approximately 320m by 90m, with a relatively long frontage, and is bordered by a 20m-wide road to the west and a 25m-wide planned urban road to the east. Additionally, the site has a north-south elevation difference of about 6m. A mixed-use community space has been created in the sunken plaza at the center of the complex, incorporating a wellness system to facilitate diverse experiences among residents. Centering on this plaza, spaces between the pedestrian streets and the main buildings have been designed as venues for resident interaction, revitalizing these rest areas. These small resting spots are expected to yield the important result of fostering communication among neighbors.
