Junglim Architects Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Cheongna Medical Complex Town ‘Asan Medical Center Cheongna Hospital’

The groundbreaking ceremony for Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital, a key landmark in Incheon’s Cheongna International City designed by Jeonglim Architects, was held on December 29, marking the official start of construction.

Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital aims to be an ‘international standard hospital’ equipped with world-class medical care and research capabilities. Junglim Architects established a master plan that organically integrates medical and bio research with education. This site will become the central axis of an international medical cluster, home to KAIST and global research institutions.

Phase 1 construction will build an 800-bed state-of-the-art general hospital and parking facilities. Junglim Architects plans to dedicate its top-tier technical expertise to realizing a patient-centered healing environment and innovative medical spaces.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by key figures from government, politics, and the medical community, including Incheon Mayor Jeongbok Yoo, who shared the vision for the Cheongna Medical Complex Town. From Junglim Architecture, CEO Yongkyo Jeong and Healthcare BU Leader Soyoung Woo joined the project team at the event, pledging their commitment to the project’s successful completion.
