An experiential training facility for youth is situated on two plots of land. The primary objective of this plan was to develop a cohesive theme while taking into account regional characteristics and the independence of the programs. Using the motif of youth’s free thinking and action—that is, “soaring”—we established the theme of “Flying Over the Sea, Flying Over the Horizon.” Located where the horizon is visible, we hope that the Yeongdeok National Youth Marine Environment Experience Center will transcend the role of a mere training facility to become a free and joyful “Fly, Play” space where young people can make their own choices and engage in hands-on experiences.
