Yi sun sin Memorial Park

Yi sun sin Memorial Park

Set against the backdrop of the Noryang Sea—the site of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s final battle—the goal was to create a space that commemorates the admiral’s achievements and serves as a symbol of Namhae County. Alongside the Patriotic Square, which honors Admiral Yi’s loyal spirit and resolve to defend the nation, key symbolic facilities include the Sky-Sea Rest Area and a Memorial Tower dedicated to the anonymous heroes of the Three Kingdoms.

A narrative-driven visitor flow was designed to allow for a dramatic encounter with Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The complex also features Gwaneumru Pavilion, where visitors can experience the view Admiral Yi would have had of the Noryang Sea, and the Leadership Experience Center, where visitors can engage with the admiral’s spirit and the traditional culture of Namhae. As a themed park with a compelling narrative, this project will offer a variety of content to ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors.
