Yecheon-Gun, Office Building

Yecheon-Gun Office Building

Yecheon-Gun Office is a backbone of county administration, as well as a place where domestic and overseas figures and local residents frequently visit. Traditional forms are summarized in this new building to show the cultures and traditional tiles in Yecheon. To meet the spirit of Yecheon, it has also been built with local materials. The building back to the Mt. Bongdeok and facing the Han stream has a full south aspect, communicating with nature. It has been also planned to use the second and third floors for the county office, while the first floor was planned as a space of communication for local residents. We tiled the gambrel roof that symbolizes the tradition and high dignity by inheriting traditional tile, the culture of Yecheon that has been handed down to us from the past. We also planned the flow of the roof to go together with Mt. Bongdeok.
