Sinmokdong station Knowledge industry center is the first knowledge industry center within Mokdong district. M.OK is located within a two-minute walking distance from the Seoul metro line nine. Also, M.OK is adjacent to natural environments such as Yongwang mountain park as well as the Annyangcheon waterfront promenade. The design emphasizes the communication between the industry center and the neighboring community by securing public interests, creating jobs, and building a regional economic base via juxtaposing ample workspace with public facilities and amenities. Public facilities and amenities are planned on the lower floors, and there are various accesses to reinforce communication with the local residents. The upper-floor workspace plan increases occupant usability by providing a rational and efficient room layout along with the service balcony. The grid mass standing on the arched red brick will provide the city with a symbolic building of the Anyangcheon stream that vitalizes its surrounding.
