PNP Station is the new headquarters of the IT security solution company PNP Secure, relocated in October 2022 to the Magok Industrial Complex in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The podium of the lower floors features a lattice-style metal design reminiscent of a secure cage, while the tower above showcases a vertical patterned facade using white granite, establishing a stable image befitting a security solution company. The vertically segmented massing of the building mitigates the imposing sense of scale. The open space created by the segmented massing serves as a buffer zone where employees can communicate and rest during work.
The podium contains multipurpose facilities such as a lobby, community hall, and lounge to provide a comfortable environment for occupants and faces an open public street space. The design concept — using black horizontal aluminum composite panels and mullion caps — is extended inside, ensuring consistency throughout. The upper floors accommodate research and work spaces and employ structures and construction methods suitable for a high-load long-span building to achieve column-free space. North-facing windows help control daylight and offer views of the children’s park and connected green space. The vertical patterned facade is designed with louvers that open and close at fixed angles and directions, preserving privacy with surrounding facilities while creating varied visual expressions in the urban context.
