The Standard Factory Project, which lays the foundation for the Gimje Free Trade Zone, is based on the growth potential of Saemangeum and the competitiveness of Gimje, the region surrounding it. Gimje City, which is rapidly emerging as a future growth hub through Saemangeum, is developing the Gimje Free Trade Zone—covering 990,000 square meters within the Gimje Local Industrial Complex—where unrestricted manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and trade activities are guaranteed. This project is being pursued with the aim of attracting domestic and foreign investment and developing the local economy through the designation and operation of the Gimje Free Trade Zone. Meanwhile, to facilitate free trade activities within the zone and attract early-stage companies, there is a need to reduce the initial burden of factory construction costs and to present a future-oriented standard factory model. To this end, we aim to inject vitality into the growth of the Gimje Free Trade Zone by presenting a new standard factory platform. This platform will serve as a symbolic flagship project for attracting investment—the first of its kind in the Gimje Free Trade Zone—while also offering flexible workspaces that accommodate a diverse range of tenant industries, ensuring a pleasant and eco-friendly working environment for employees, and enabling efficient maintenance and management by staff.
