Andong, the capital of Korea’s spiritual culture. Here, we sought to create a village imbued with the spirit of Confucian culture. This village embodies Korea’s traditional culture—taste, style, joy, and learning—based on the fundamental Confucian virtues of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trust. The five courtyards embodying Korea’s unique spirit, the Han-eul Path connecting these courtyards, and the Confucian and Korean cultural elements encountered along this path harmoniously blend to form Han-eul Village. It preserves timeless values and conveys the spirit of our ancestors. With a mindset that respects the past without going against tradition, Han-eul Village envisions the future of Confucianism and aspires to become the global center of Confucianism, extending beyond Korea.
