World Business Center, Busan

World Business Center, Busan

The aspirations for Busan and its skyline must be reserved for those who are truly unique and exceptional. Given the context of ordinary attempts—both locally and globally—to create extraordinary and outstanding spaces, the ambition here lies in a creative vision and exceptional design that make Busan unique. The Asymmetrical Approach focuses on achieving this through a unique design for the WBCB Tower. This new form—three distinct towers rising sharply from a strong, solid foundation—ultimately represents a new approach where the concepts of distinctiveness and autonomy manifest as a striking juxtaposition of form and void. Inspired by the mountains, sea, and sky that make up Busan’s dramatic natural landscape, this new and spectacular tower form can be interpreted as three distinct entities delicately arranged within and above the city center, while simultaneously being recognized as a single entity that truly represents a 21st-century structure. Viewed from various angles, these three towers will appear different depending on the perspective, constantly shifting in appearance.
