Walkerhill is a complex comprising two hotels and ancillary facilities situated on a hill overlooking the Han River. We sought to emphasize an eco-friendly atmosphere where architecture and nature blend as one. The buildings were arranged to conform to the topography, minimizing disruption to the natural landscape. The three-story volumes are rhythmically offset, imparting a lively dynamism to the structure. The building’s main programs consist of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a dry spa, and a wellness center. We prioritized accessibility and convenience for family and children’s spaces, while clearly separating zones by separating static and dynamic spaces by floor. This place is an homage to the body and nature, where one can heal both mind and body while facing the Han River’s outstanding scenery in a forest within the city.
