The Uijeongbu Campus of Eulji University Hospital, the largest facility of its kind in northern Gyeonggi Province, was planned on land made available through the return of Camp Ession, a former U.S. military base.
As the nation’s largest integrated medical facility combining a university and a hospital, it has a capacity of up to 1,234 beds. The basement houses the supply support department for internal logistics; the first floor features an emergency room equivalent to a regional emergency center and a specialized outpatient center; the second floor houses the health screening center and endoscopy center; and the third and fourth floors contain the central medical units, including operating rooms and delivery rooms.
The facility strictly adheres to recently strengthened infection prevention laws and standards for in-hospital isolation facilities, and has been designed with an environment that ensures a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
