Connecting with the City / To facilitate organic links with nearby school complexes and schools, the design draws public traffic into the site’s open spaces and creates a fragmented mass that opens up the space, allowing it to harmonize with the surrounding landscape and skyline.
Communicating with the Surroundings / To facilitate the use of neighborhood parks and playgrounds, the design creates interstitial spaces that connect the building, courtyards, and nature. It also serves as a gateway that marks the beginning of the community spaces in Dongtan 2 District.
Connecting People and Nature / To achieve energy-efficient architecture prioritizing eco-friendly and renewable energy plans, the design provides optimal conditions for natural light and ventilation. Furthermore, it acts as a connecting link between households and between nature and people, extending the flow of the surrounding environment.
