The Mokpo West Regional Headquarters of Coast Guard Special Forces Training Facilities required a design that incorporated both symbolic elements and noteworthy features. In consideration of the site surroundings, the facility was not designed with an extravagant form and the building programme was devised to allow the facility to function as a node of local cultural exchange. Efforts were invested to design the facility at a reasonable scale with remodeling expected in the future, as well as to create a comfortable environment.
