Twenty years ago, I designed the Salvation Army Officers’ Training College—the main building, dormitories, and officers’ quarters. In 2006, twenty years later, we remodeled and expanded those buildings. Thus, the partnership between JUNGLIM Architecture and the Salvation Army has spanned over twenty years.

Based on the blueprints of the previous buildings drawn by our predecessors, we remodeled the main building and reconstructed the officers’ quarters and dormitories with a new layout. Seeing the names of our predecessors on the blueprints, this was a project that filled us with both respect and a heavy sense of responsibility.

We hope that the partnership between JUNGLIM Architecture and the Salvation Army will continue even after completion, and we pray that we will have the opportunity to be commissioned for another design project 20 years from now.
