Completed in 1982, the The K Insurance building had become outdated after more than 30 years, and the company sought to transform it into a modern office facility through remodeling. The design diversifies pedestrian flow by connecting the sunken garden with a pedestrian plaza on the lower floors, while the top-floor sky lounge and a facade embodying The K Insurance’s corporate philosophy are proposed to create a new urban landmark that embraces the Jongmyo Shrine.
