The site, located near the Singal Interchange in Yongin, inspired our design vision because the building had the potential to serve as a landmark at the junction of the Gyeongbu and Yeongdong Expressways. Furthermore, the requirement to submit three design alternatives in the early stages felt particularly intriguing, likely due to the site’s irregular shape.
In particular, for the facade, we derived a limited set of elements that align with the image of Korea Electric Power Technology by interpreting the form, color, and materials.
