The dental hospital, which opened one year later than Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital, is a standalone specialty hospital, albeit smaller in scale than the university hospital. It was designed to establish a distinct identity from the university hospital in terms of the layout of its interior spaces and exterior areas.
It has been positioned to form a cluster of specialty hospitals alongside the traditional Korean medicine hospital and clinical center, which are scheduled for future construction, thereby establishing a smooth system of collaborative care among the specialty hospitals and with the university hospital.
