Kyobo Life Insurance Ilsan Office was designed to respect and make harmony with the special urban context of Ilsan, inspiring the city with life, breath, and encounter. Restoring paths, implicating wandering circulation, furtively hidden small yard and decks make it possible to slow speed for a moment and take a deep breath with the light and the wind. The rapidly developed buildings lining the Jungangno Road of Ilsan are showing a disorderly cityscape. The separation and harmony between the lower part of black granite, which is simply silent, and the upper part of glass curtain walls, which is delicately shining, will make the building become the cityscape by mixing the elements of concept, function, circulation, form, and space in harmony. The two-story-high grid frame at the upper part restores the sense of the lost decoration for people today. This grid forms the more human scale, making the encounter between the building and the city.
