In accordance with the policy to normalize state-owned enterprises, KEPCO is pursuing development projects for a total of 20 properties it owns nationwide to improve its financial structure. In accordance with the Korea Electric Power Corporation Act, when KEPCO undertakes real estate development projects, it must either delegate the work to a contractor or entrust the property to a trust company for development. Junglim Architecture has proposed development projects for four idle sites: the South Seoul Headquarters, the Yeongdeungpo Rolling Stock Depot, Majang-dong, and the North Gwangju Substation, in collaboration with Koramco Asset Trust. While pursuing high profitability to improve the financial structure, ensuring public interest as a project promoted by KEPCO is a prerequisite for the project.
