Jeongdong Sanglimwon

Jeongdong Sanglimwon

From the past to the present, Jeong-dong has functioned as the heart of Seoul, serving primarily as a hub for politics, economics, and culture rather than as a residential area. Given this context, we aim to analyze and understand Jeong-dong as a residential area and propose a vision for Korea’s premier residential living. We aim to enhance Jeong-dong’s value as a residential area by creating diverse living environments that bridge the experiences of past and present, grounded in historical continuity, while securing excellent views of the surrounding mountains—Bukaksan, Inwangsan, Namsan, and Ansan—and fostering a green network environment. We will secure the maximum floor area ratio by analyzing various regulatory restrictions stemming from nearby historical and cultural spaces and diverse resident programs, respond to diverse requirements, and propose modern and cultural points of connection with the historical surroundings.
