Hyundai Pangyo Department Store

Hyundai Pangyo Department Store

We designed a mall that enhances the department store’s ability to attract customers and guides them through open sightlines, facilitating seamless connectivity at Pangyo Station—a location easily accessible to the general public.
First, we planned separate main entrances for each facility through zoning and designed three-dimensional connections with public walkways to ensure a continuous flow of visitors.
Second, we utilized internal skylights and open spaces to create visual openness and facilitate wayfinding.
Third, we revitalized outdoor community spaces through inter-facility connectivity, transforming the rooftop of the mixed-use shopping mall into a landmark where landscaped gardens and cultural spaces harmoniously coexist.
We proposed a symbolic gateway to the city, featuring distinct spatial designs for each facility and drawing inspiration from the grandeur and confidence of Hyundai Department Store.
