The Gyeongsan Indoor Gymnasium and Track and Field Stadium will serve as the new hub for cultural and leisure activities in Gyeongsan. The Indoor Gymnasium is positioned at the front of the site, taking into account the reuse of the existing stream bed and accessibility for citizens, while the Track and Field Stadium is designed with earthen stands and placed at the center of the site, with both structures adopting an open layout that connects to the waterfront. This design actively brings in the surrounding views and nature into the interior of the buildings, providing users with an optimal environment.
By actively utilizing the existing stream bed to create a waterfront space, a pleasant landscape has been designed. Additionally, an ecological walking path connecting Nammae Neighborhood Park to the entrance plaza has been created to serve as a connecting space that integrates and links the track and field stadium with the indoor gymnasium.
