Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center

Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center

The project is to relocate Anseong Hospital in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province to overcome the problems of hospital facilities caused by its deterioration and the small site area. The project also aimed to expand medical services to address the issues of the aging society, and to plan modern medical service facilities to build a patient-oriented public hospital that can be trusted by local residents. As a public space for local communities, the hospital was planned to have various spaces inside and outside of it for various residents (the public, aged, patients and careers) to share information, culture, events and activities, and selected colors and eco-friendly materials were used to promote a warm image of the hospital. The elevation was planned to suit the characteristics of the program by stacking horizontal layers, and the layered structure and appearance will make the hospital a landmark that represents integrated medical services and culture in Anseong.
