GC Biopharma Manufacturing Facility Ochang Plant Plasma Fractionation Facility

The design competition for the Blood Products Plant on Site B at Green Cross’s Ochang Factory is an ambitious project that embodies Green Cross’s commitment to becoming the first company in Korea to obtain CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice, as recognized by the U.S. FDA) certification.
Due to the long, rectangular shape of the Ochang Plant site, the location presents challenges in integrating traffic flow and systems with the existing Phase 1 production facility. Furthermore, many of the surrounding factories within the local industrial complex are uniform, single-story structures primarily constructed with sandwich panels, presenting a dated appearance. Given these conditions, the goal was to propose a new type of blood product facility that meets CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
