G-Project

Deng Xiaoping’s famous saying, “Whether it’s a white cat or a black cat, a cat that catches mice is a good cat,” seems to be the most significant theme for communist nations since the era of reform and opening-up. Since adopting the Doi Moi policy, Vietnam—which now seeks active exchanges with capital and technology of any kind without hesitation—has become a nation that feels particularly familiar to us, perhaps because we share the same Sinic cultural sphere. This project began with the expectation that Jeonglim Architects’ design and engineering capabilities would be fully realized there. To be constructed on a site of approximately 14,000 pyeong in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest city, this building is a 60-story high-rise mixed-use complex featuring accommodation, residential, office, and commercial facilities. With a facade design inspired by the lotus—Vietnam’s national flower—and a connecting bridge shaped like a gate, we hope this building will become a fresh symbol of Ho Chi Minh City and a new landmark representing Vietnam.
