Ewha Womans University is situated on a relatively steep slope, and the rapid increase in student enrollment has led to a dense arrangement of buildings on campus. The site is adjacent to the road along the rear entrance of the campus and is located between the existing College of Education and the Humanities Building.

The site has a diagonal level difference of about two stories and is the area most affected by road noise. Furthermore, facing northwest, it suffers from poor sunlight exposure. However, the Ewha Womans University buildings along the road by the back gate stand in a row like a wall. These structures act as artificial barriers blocking the inside and outside of the campus, constituting physical elements that run counter to the nature of an open university.
