Advanced research institutes of the 21st century are evolving. New facilities are emerging that blend seamlessly with nature to create pleasant environments, while communities are increasingly valued for fostering smooth communication among researchers. Institutes with unique and striking exteriors that invigorate local communities are gaining prominence. A “Tree of Science” that creates synergy through eco-friendly layouts that harmonize with the natural terrain and vibrant exchanges among researchers across disciplines! The Science Tree, growing lush and vibrant with a blend of nature, convergence, and dynamism, embodies the spirit of DGIST, which dreams of science.
Furthermore, a comfortable research environment was created by incorporating south-facing laboratory layouts, clean air systems in the labs, and an independent structural design that prevents vibrations from interfering with experiments. The project was carried out with a focus on designing a unique symbolism that will lead the future.
