Haeundae, one of Busan’s premier tourist destinations, is home to a rich variety of cultural attractions and festivals. However, due to a shortage of accommodation facilities, it is gradually losing its competitiveness as a tourist city. This project, initiated alongside various urban planning initiatives to revitalize Haeundae as a tourist destination, was conceived with the following objectives: to create an iconic building that represents Haeundae, to ensure ocean views from every guest room, and to address future sales and business viability. This proposal presents a plan that combines the functions of a resort and accommodation facility in a tourist city with new unit designs reflecting the characteristics of a second home, while also introducing a new landscape for Haeundae.
